The International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA) Executive Board will again support ‘Emergent Anatomists’ (academic staff and postgraduate students) to attend designated IFAA Congresses.
In order to support emergent anatomists attending such Congresses, an “early bird” registration cost is being offered to emergent anatomists. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs unfortunately cannot be supported by this award. While in the past, only 10 academic staff and 10 PhD level postgraduate students have been supported by the IFAA for each Congress, we are pleased to announce that the Korean Association of Anatomists (KAA) who are hosting the Congress have offered to support the IFAA’s Emergent Anatomist Award in 2024 by providing registration costs to an additional 10 academic staff and 10 PhD level postgraduate students.
Thus the IFAA together with the KAA are delighted to announce that the IFAAs Emergent Anatomist Award for 2024 will support a total of 40 emergent anatomists (ie 20 academic staff and 20 PhD students).
Applications for these awards are now open (November 2023) and close at the end of February, 2024. Only those applications on the official IFAA application template, fulfilling all requirements, will be considered. Please note applicants must be from countries designated as low or low-middle income by the World Bank. The template for application is available on the IFAA website.
