1) In the year 2023, FICSP welcomed two new members. Phillip Cox assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief for the 'Journal of Anatomy,' succeeding Professor Gillingwater, while Monty Montana joined the committee as the Editor-in-Chief for 'Aging Cell.' Currently, there are 22 members in FICSP representing anatomy journals.

2) The webinar series on Publishing in Anatomy Journals, featuring Heather F. Smith (Editor-in-Chief, The Anatomical Record) discussing Data Integrity and Ethical Publishing Behavior in the Anatomical Sciences, took place on June 23, 2023. Another ethics webinar is scheduled for December 2023, with plans to continue the series into 2024. All webinars are accessible on the IFaa website.

3) A Zoom meeting was held with FICEM Chair Professor Andreas Weiglein to discuss the potential inclusion of guidelines in anatomical journals regarding the specification of the origin of unclaimed bodies. Currently, many journals stipulate in their guidelines the need for a statement acknowledging cadaver donors. For instance, authors are often required to express gratitude to those who donated their bodies to science, as exemplified by the statement in Iwanaga et al.'s Clinical Anatomy publication in 2021.
