The Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists, Embryologists and Topographers of Ukraine mourn the demise of Professor Yuri Chaikovsky, Head of the Histology and Embryology Department at the National Medical University, who died on March 3, 2022, at the age of 71.

Professor Chaikovsky was an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, winner of the VP Prize Commissar of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and several international public academies, President of the Scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists, Embryologists and Topographers of Ukraine.

The staff of the University has lost an extremely intelligent, kind person, a famous scientist, a great organizer and mentor, who will always be missed.

Professor Chaikovsky, a man with a capital letter, was valued and respected by colleagues, students, PhD students and everyone who had worked together with him.

Eternal memory to Yuri Chaikovsky! He will always be in our hearts.
